The Robert F. Farrell Memorial Award
The Robert F. Farrell Award is presented to a Scholar Athlete in the name of Robert Farrell, an outstanding player at Bulkeley High School and in college. His love of football lead him into officiating, where he was a top flight referee on both the high school and college level for over 30 years. Bob was a charter member of the The Doc Boisoneau Northern Connecticut Chapter, serving as president and playing an active role on the executive committee for many years.

The C. Edwin Creed Award
The C. Edwin Creed Award is presented to a Scholar Athlete in the name of C. Edwin Creed, who played football at the University of Missouri, before moving to Connecticut to eventually become the Head Coach at Central Connecticut State University. He left coaching to enter the private sector and soon established himself as an enterprising and successful businessman and a community leader. Mr. Creed was honored as our Distinguished American in 1995.

The Robert J. McKee Memorial Award
The Robert J. McKee Memorial Award is presented to a Scholar-Athlete in the name of Coach Bob McKee, a founding member of this chapter! Coach McKee was head football coach of Hall (1951-1956) and Conrad (1957-1983) High Schools in the West Harford Connecticut community. He was also honored with both the Ralph Worth memorial Chapter Award and contribution to football award. His namesake award is the Doc Boisoneau Northern Connecticut Chapter National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame’s humble effort to carry on Coach McKee’s legacy of decency, respect, commitment, and devotion to all we serve.

The Howie Vandersea Award
To honor the memory of Howie Vandersea, a football man who embodied all of the best virtues of our organization. He held a deep passion to selflessly serve others. One of Howie’s endeavors was to support Military Veterans. Each year, the chapter will bestow a monetary donation in honor of our top scoring student-athlete. This donation will go towards helping our Military Veterans in need. Executive Committee members and the student-athlete will actively volunteer their services to carry on his legacy.
